The Basics of Sheherazade

The Sheherazade module is used to capture data on protein production, purification and analysis. This module utilizes a variety of different views to organize data on cloning, purification, characterization and analysis. The functionalities of each view will be dealt with separately in the subsequent pages.
  • Open Reading Frame View - for organizing bioinformatics data on predicted ORFs
  • Work Group View - for organizing ORFs into functional groups and tracking their progress through a lab project
  • Primer View - for capturing data on oligo nucleotides
  • Plasmid View - for capturing data on plasmid constructs
  • Protein View - for capturing data on the production and purification of proteins
  • Sample View - for documenting the components of a purified sample
  • Mass Sample View - for capturing data on samples sent for mass spec analysis
  • Crystal Screen View - for capturing data on protein crystallization screens
