Adding and Deleting Time

Once an open calendar is displayed, logged in users can personally add and delete their time slots as required. In order to sign up for time, a user must already have created a time request for the current time period for the appropriate instrument (see the Creating a Time Request help page for more details). To sign up for time, double click an available (black) time slot. A new window will appear on the board. In the upper portion of the window, all of the user's time requests for that instrument and time period will be listed. Highlight the appropriate time request and then modify the start and end times displayed in the lower portion of the window (note that by default, Sesame assumes that you want to sign up for the entire time available). Users can define the end point by either setting a specific date and time or by specifying the desired duration of time. Complete the sign up by selecting Sign Up For Time from the Requests menu.

To cancel an existing time slot, double click the slot in the calendar, modify the start and end times of the period to be cancelled (note that by default, Sesame assumes that you want to cancel the entire period) and select Cancel from the Requests menu.
