Adding Droplets to a Screen

Setting the Number of Droplets In certain screens, one or more individual droplets is associated with each well. The Well module is capable of accommodating this additional information. When the user clicks on the Screen Droplets tab and selects Create Screen Droplets Table, a pop up box appears into which the user enters the number of drops to be added and the number of additives to be added. Clicking Create results in a new droplet table being formed.

Defining Individual DropletsSelecting Set Droplet Components results in a pop box appearing where the user is able to define the parameters of a set of droplets. By designating the droplet number in the first field, the user can set the parameters for a given droplet (droplet number 1 for example) for all of the wells in that screen. This procedure can be repeated until all droplets have been defined. In addition, once all droplets have been defined, the user can manually change any of the variable within the table so that specific droplets can be customized. The protein number field refers to the database number associated with the proteins Lamp record. While Work Group number and ORF number refer back to a Genie record.
