Lab Resources Salary And Effort Employee Category

List of all Employee Categories and the corresponding Fringe Rates.

Category is the name of the Employee Category, e.g. Academic Staff, Grad Interns, Research Asisstants, Regular Classified, etc.

Fringe Rate (%) is the Fringe Rate in percentage.
This adds a new row to the Employee Category resource table.

Make the Employee Category window active in the Board.

On the Employee Category menu click Add New Employee Category.

The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.
This removes the selected rows from the Employee Category resource table.

Make the Employee Category window active in the Board.

Select one or more rows in the table.

On the Employee Category menu click Remove Rows.

The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.
This copies the data in the selected rows of the Employee Category resource table to local clipboard.

Make the Employee Category window active in the Board.

Select one or more rows in the table.

On the Employee Category menu click Copy Rows.

This removes the selected rows of the Employee Category resource table and copies them to local clipboard.

Make the Employee Category window active in the Board.

Select one or more rows in the table.

On the Employee Category menu click Cut Rows.

This adds the rows in local clipboard to the Employee Category resource table.

Make the Employee Category window active in the Board.

On the Employee Category menu click Paste Rows.

The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.
This cancels the last change to the Employee Category resource table.

Make the Employee Category window active in the Board.

On the Employee Category menu click Undo.

The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.
This loads a comma separated value file and adds the data to the Employee Category resource table.

Make the Employee Category window active in the Board.

On the Employee Category menu click Load Employee Category File.

In the folder list, locate and open the folder that contains the file.

Click the file, and then click Open.

The CSV file consists of the header row followed by rows that contain comma separated data.

To see the exact file format, do a save file for a table with entries.

The data in the table will be replaced with the data in the file.

The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.
This saves the Employee Category resource table as a comma separated value file.

Make the Employee Category window active in the Board.

On the Employee Category menu click Save Employee Category File.

If you want to save the file in a different folder, locate and open the folder.

In the File Name box, type a name for the file.

Click Save.

This reverts the data for the Employee Category to the version in the database.

Make the Employee Category window active in the Board.

On the Employee Category menu click Refresh Employee Category.

This will reload the Employee Category from the database.

If the content of the View has been modified since the last Save operation, the user will be given an option to proceed and discard the changes, or to cancel the operation.

To open the Employee Category window in the Board,
on the Options menu select Lab Resources then select
Salary And Effort then click Employee Category.

This Lab Resource is accessible by the Lab Master, or, by a Lab Member with
a Can Do privilege. By others it is not even viewable.

The Can Do Resource value is LAB_RSC_EMPLOYEECATEGORY.
