Lab Resources Locations Freezer

  • List of all Freezers and Refrigerators where a product (plasmid, protein, etc.) may be stored.

Fields

  • Freezer is the name, number, or description of the Refrigerator or Freezer.

Add New Freezer

This adds a new row to the Freezer resource table.

  1. Make the Freezer window active in the Board.
  2. On the Freezer menu click Add New Freezer.

Note

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Remove Rows

This removes the selected rows from the Freezer resource table.

  1. Make the Freezer window active in the Board.
  2. Select one or more rows in the table.
  3. On the Freezer menu click Remove Rows.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Copy Rows

This copies the data in the selected rows of the Freezer resource table to local clipboard.

  1. Make the Freezer window active in the Board.
  2. Select one or more rows in the table.
  3. On the Freezer menu click Copy Rows.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Cut Rows

This removes the selected rows of the Freezer resource table and copies them to local clipboard.

  1. Make the Freezer window active in the Board.
  2. Select one or more rows in the table.
  3. On the Freezer menu click Cut Rows.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Paste Rows

This adds the rows in local clipboard to the Freezer resource table.

  1. Make the Freezer window active in the Board.
  2. On the Freezer menu click Paste Rows.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Undo

This cancels the last change to the Freezer resource table.

  1. Make the Freezer window active in the Board.
  2. On the Freezer menu click Undo.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Load Freezer File

This loads a comma separated value file and adds the data to the Freezer resource table.

  1. Make the Freezer window active in the Board.
  2. On the Freezer menu click Load Freezer File.
  3. In the folder list, locate and open the folder that contains the file.
  4. Click the file, and then click Open.

Note

  • The CSV file consists of the header row followed by rows that contain comma separated data.
  • To see the exact file format, do a save file for a table with entries.
  • The data in the table will be replaced with the data in the file.
  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Save Freezer File

This saves the Freezer resource table as a comma separated value file.

  1. Make the Freezer window active in the Board.
  2. On the Freezer menu click Save Freezer File.
  3. If you want to save the file in a different folder, locate and open the folder.
  4. In the File Name box, type a name for the file.
  5. Click Save.

Note

  • The CSV file consists of the header row followed by rows that contain comma separated data.

Save Freezer

This saves the Freezer in the database.

  1. Make the Freezer window active in the Board.
  2. On the Freezer menu click Save Freezer, or click the Save Freezer button in the button bar.

Note

  • This will replace the information for the current Freezer in the database.

Close Freezer

This closes the window.

  1. Make the Freezer window active in the Board.
  2. On the Freezer menu click Close Freezer, or click the X button on the window's Title bar.

Note

  • If the content of the View has been modified since the last Save operation, the user will be given an option to proceed and discard the changes, or to cancel the operation.

Refresh Freezer

This reverts the data for the Freezer to the version in the database.

  1. Make the Freezer window active in the Board.
  2. On the Freezer menu click Refresh Freezer.

Note

  • This will reload the Freezer from the database.
  • If the content of the View has been modified since the last Save operation, the user will be given an option to proceed and discard the changes, or to cancel the operation.

General Comments

  • To open the Freezer window in the Board, on the Options menu select Lab Resources then select Locations then click Freezer.
  • This Lab Resource is maintained by the Lab Master, or, by a Lab Member with a Can Do privilege.
  • The Can Do Resource value is LAB_RSC_LOCATIONS.
