Lab Resources Plasmid Components Plasmid Source

List of all parent vectors into which an ORF may be cloned.

To open the Plasmid Source window in the Board,
on the Options menu select Lab Resources then select
Plasmid Components then click Plasmid Source.

This Lab Resource is maintained by the Lab Master, or, by a Lab Member with
a Can Do privilege.
-
The Can Do Resource value is LAB_RSC_PLASMIDCOMPONENTS.
-
Name is the name of the Plasmid Source.
-
URL is the URL for a web page for the Plasmid Source.
This adds a new row to the Plasmid Source resource table.
-
Make the Plasmid Source window active in the Board.
-
On the Plasmid Source menu click Add New Plasmid Source.
Note

The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.
This adds new rows to the Plasmid Source lab resource table
from the Plasmid Source system resource table.

Open the lab resource Plasmid Source window in the Board.

Open the system resource Plasmid Source window in the Board.
-
Make the system resource Plasmid Source window active in the Board.

Select the rows in system resource Plasmid Source window and drag and drop them to the
the lab resource Plasmid Source window's Title bar.

The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.
This removes the selected rows from the Plasmid Source resource table.

Make the Plasmid Source window active in the Board.

Select one or more rows in the table.

On the Plasmid Source menu click Remove Rows.

The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.
This copies the data in the selected rows of the Plasmid Source resource table to local clipboard.

Make the Plasmid Source window active in the Board.

Select one or more rows in the table.

On the Plasmid Source menu click Copy Rows.
Note

The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.
This removes the selected rows of the Plasmid Source resource table and copies them to local clipboard.

Make the Plasmid Source window active in the Board.

Select one or more rows in the table.

On the Plasmid Source menu click Cut Rows.
Note

The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.
This adds the rows in local clipboard to the Plasmid Source resource table.

Make the Plasmid Source window active in the Board.

On the Plasmid Source menu click Paste Rows.

The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.
This cancels the last change to the Plasmid Source resource table.

Make the Plasmid Source window active in the Board.

On the Plasmid Source menu click Undo.

The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.
This loads a comma separated value file and adds the data to the Plasmid Source resource table.

Make the Plasmid Source window active in the Board.

On the Plasmid Source menu click Load Plasmid Source File.

In the folder list, locate and open the folder that contains the file.

Click the file, and then click Open.

The CSV file consists of the header row followed by rows that contain comma separated data.

To see the exact file format, do a save file for a table with entries.
-
The data in the table will be replaced with the data in the file.
-
The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.
This saves the Plasmid Source resource table as a comma separated value file.

Make the Plasmid Source window active in the Board.

On the Plasmid Source menu click Save Plasmid Source File.

If you want to save the file in a different folder, locate and open the folder.

In the File Name box, type a name for the file.
-
Click Save.

On the Plasmid Source menu click Save Plasmid Source, or click the Save Plasmid Source button in the button bar.

Make the Plasmid Source window active in the Board.

On the Plasmid Source menu click Close Plasmid Source, or click the X button on the window's Title bar.

If the content of the View has been modified since the last Save operation, the user will be given an option to proceed and discard the changes, or to cancel the operation.
This reverts the data for the Plasmid Source to the version in the database.

Make the Plasmid Source window active in the Board.

On the Plasmid Source menu click Refresh Plasmid Source.

This will reload the Plasmid Source from the database.

If the content of the View has been modified since the last Save operation, the user will be given an option to proceed and discard the changes, or to cancel the operation.
This will display the web page from the URL field for the selected Plasmid Source in a browser.

Make the Plasmid Source window active in the Board.
-
On the Plasmid Source menu click Display URL.
