Lab Resources Robot Rack Type

  • List of all generic rack configurations used by robots, for example, to prepare a protein crystallization screen.

Fields

  • Robot Rack Type is the name and description of the Robot Rack.

Add New Robot Rack Type

This adds a new row to the Robot Rack Type resource table.

  1. Make the Robot Rack Type window active in the Board.
  2. On the Robot Rack Type menu click Add New Robot Rack Type.

Note

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Remove Rows

This removes the selected rows from the Robot Rack Type resource table.

  1. Make the Robot Rack Type window active in the Board.
  2. Select one or more rows in the table.
  3. On the Robot Rack Type menu click Remove Rows.

Note

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Copy Rows

This copies the data in the selected rows of the Robot Rack Type resource table to local clipboard.

  1. Make the Robot Rack Type window active in the Board.
  2. Select one or more rows in the table.
  3. On the Robot Rack Type menu click Copy Rows.

Note

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Cut Rows

This removes the selected rows of the Robot Rack Type resource table and copies them to local clipboard.

  1. Make the Robot Rack Type window active in the Board.
  2. Select one or more rows in the table.
  3. On the Robot Rack Type menu click Cut Rows.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Paste Rows

This adds the rows in local clipboard to the Robot Rack Type resource table.

  1. Make the Robot Rack Type window active in the Board.
  2. On the Robot Rack Type menu click Paste Rows.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Undo

This cancels the last change to the Robot Rack Type resource table.

  1. Make the Robot Rack Type window active in the Board.
  2. On the Robot Rack Type menu click Undo.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Load Robot Rack Type File

This loads a comma separated value file and adds the data to the Robot Rack Type resource table.

  1. Make the Robot Rack Type window active in the Board.
  2. On the Robot Rack Type menu click Load Robot Rack Type File.
  3. In the folder list, locate and open the folder that contains the file.
  4. Click the file, and then click Open.

Note

  • The CSV file consists of the header row followed by rows that contain comma separated data.
  • To see the exact file format, do a save file for a table with entries.
  • The data in the table will be replaced with the data in the file.
  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Save Robot Rack Type File

This saves the Robot Rack Type resource table as a comma separated value file.

  1. Make the Robot Rack Type window active in the Board.
  2. On the Robot Rack Type menu click Save Robot Rack Type File.
  3. If you want to save the file in a different folder, locate and open the folder.
  4. In the File Name box, type a name for the file.
  5. Click Save.

Note

  • The CSV file consists of the header row followed by rows that contain comma separated data.

Save Robot Rack Type

This saves the Robot Rack Type in the database.

  1. Make the Robot Rack Type window active in the Board.
  2. On the Robot Rack Type menu click Save Robot Rack Type, or click the Save Robot Rack Type button in the button bar.

Note

  • This will replace the information for the current Robot Rack Type in the database.

Close Robot Rack Type

This closes the window.

  1. Make the Robot Rack Type window active in the Board.
  2. On the Robot Rack Type menu click Close Robot Rack Type, or click the X button on the window's Title bar.

Note

  • If the content of the View has been modified since the last Save operation, the user will be given an option to proceed and discard the changes, or to cancel the operation.

Refresh Robot Rack Type

This reverts the data for the Robot Rack Type to the version in the database.

  1. Make the Robot Rack Type window active in the Board.
  2. On the Robot Rack Type menu click Refresh Robot Rack Type.

Note

  • This will reload the Robot Rack Type from the database.
  • If the content of the View has been modified since the last Save operation, the user will be given an option to proceed and discard the changes, or to cancel the operation.

General Comments

  • To open the Robot Rack Type window in the Board, on the Options menu select Lab Resources then click Robot Rack Type.
  • This Lab Resource is maintained by the Lab Master, or, by a Lab Member with a Can Do privilege.
  • The Can Do Resource value is LAB_RSC_ROBOTRACKTYPE.
