Lab Resources Locations Shelf

  • List of all Shelves where the plates from a crystallization screen may be stored.

Fields

  • Shelf is the name, number, or description of the Shelf.

Add New Shelf

This adds a new row to the Shelf resource table.

  1. Make the Shelf window active in the Board.
  2. On the Shelf menu click Add New Shelf.

Note

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Remove Rows

This removes the selected rows from the Shelf resource table.

  1. Make the Shelf window active in the Board.
  2. Select one or more rows in the table.
  3. On the Shelf menu click Remove Rows.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Copy Rows

This copies the data in the selected rows of the Shelf resource table to local clipboard.

  1. Make the Shelf window active in the Board.
  2. Select one or more rows in the table.
  3. On the Shelf menu click Copy Rows.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Cut Rows

This removes the selected rows of the Shelf resource table and copies them to local clipboard.

  1. Make the Shelf window active in the Board.
  2. Select one or more rows in the table.
  3. On the Shelf menu click Cut Rows.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Paste Rows

This adds the rows in local clipboard to the Shelf resource table.

  1. Make the Shelf window active in the Board.
  2. On the Shelf menu click Paste Rows.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Undo

This cancels the last change to the Shelf resource table.

  1. Make the Shelf window active in the Board.
  2. On the Shelf menu click Undo.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Load Shelf File

This loads a comma separated value file and adds the data to the Shelf resource table.

  1. Make the Shelf window active in the Board.
  2. On the Shelf menu click Load Shelf File.
  3. In the folder list, locate and open the folder that contains the file.
  4. Click the file, and then click Open.

Note

  • The CSV file consists of the header row followed by rows that contain comma separated data.
  • To see the exact file format, do a save file for a table with entries.
  • The data in the table will be replaced with the data in the file.
  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Save Shelf File

This saves the Shelf resource table as a comma separated value file.

  1. Make the Shelf window active in the Board.
  2. On the Shelf menu click Save Shelf File.
  3. If you want to save the file in a different folder, locate and open the folder.
  4. In the File Name box, type a name for the file.
  5. Click Save.

Note

  • The CSV file consists of the header row followed by rows that contain comma separated data.

Save Shelf

This saves the Shelf in the database.

  1. Make the Shelf window active in the Board.
  2. On the Shelf menu click Save Shelf, or click the Save Shelf button in the button bar.

Note

  • This will replace the information for the current Shelf in the database.

Close Shelf

This closes the window.

  1. Make the Shelf window active in the Board.
  2. On the Shelf menu click Close Shelf, or click the X button on the window's Title bar.

Note

  • If the content of the View has been modified since the last Save operation, the user will be given an option to proceed and discard the changes, or to cancel the operation.

Refresh Shelf

This reverts the data for the Shelf to the version in the database.

  1. Make the Shelf window active in the Board.
  2. On the Shelf menu click Refresh Shelf.

Note

  • This will reload the Shelf from the database.
  • If the content of the View has been modified since the last Save operation, the user will be given an option to proceed and discard the changes, or to cancel the operation.

General Comments

  • To open the Shelf window in the Board, on the Options menu select Lab Resources then select Locations then click Shelf.
  • This Lab Resource is maintained by the Lab Master, or, by a Lab Member with a Can Do privilege.
  • The Can Do Resource value is LAB_RSC_LOCATIONS.
