Lab Resources Source Organism

List of all Organisms for which gene models may be loaded into database.

Src No is the unique database number in a Sesame instance for the Source Organism.

Genus is the genus of the Source Organism.
-
Species is the species of the Source Organism.
-
Strain is the strain of the Source Organism.
-
NCBI tax. ID is the unique NCBI taxonomy ID for the Source Organism.
This adds new rows to the Source Organism lab resource table
from the Source Organism system resource table.

Open the lab resource Source Organism window in the Board.

Open the system resource Source Organism window in the Board.

Make the system resource Source Organism window active in the Board.

Select the rows in system resource Source Organism window and drag and drop them to the
the lab resource Source Organism window's Title bar.
Note

The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.
This removes the selected rows from the Source Organism resource table.

Make the Source Organism window active in the Board.

Select one or more rows in the table.
-
On the Source Organism menu click Remove Rows.

The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.
This cancels the last change to the Source Organism resource table.

Make the Source Organism window active in the Board.

On the Source Organism menu click Undo.

The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.
This saves the Source Organism resource table as a comma separated value file.

Make the Source Organism window active in the Board.

On the Source Organism menu click Save Source Organism File.

If you want to save the file in a different folder, locate and open the folder.

In the File Name box, type a name for the file.

Click Save.
Note

The CSV file consists of the header row followed by rows that contain comma separated data.
This saves the Source Organism in the database.

Make the Source Organism window active in the Board.

On the Source Organism menu click Save Source Organism, or click the Save Source Organism button in the button bar.

This will replace the information for the current Source Organism in the database.
This closes the window.

Make the Source Organism window active in the Board.

On the Source Organism menu click Close Source Organism, or click the X button on the window's Title bar.

If the content of the View has been modified since the last Save operation, the user will be given an option to proceed and discard the changes, or to cancel the operation.
This reverts the data for the Source Organism to the version in the database.

Make the Source Organism window active in the Board.

On the Source Organism menu click Refresh Source Organism.
Note

This will reload the Source Organism from the database.

If the content of the View has been modified since the last Save operation, the user will be given an option to proceed and discard the changes, or to cancel the operation.
This will display the NCBI web page for the selected Source Organism in a browser.

Make the Source Organism window active in the Board.

On the Source Organism menu click View NCBI URL.

To open the lab Source Organism window in the Board,
on the Options menu select Lab Resources then click Source Organism.

To make the Source ORganism window active if it is already in the Board,
on the Board's Window menu click Source Organism, or click on
the Source Organism window's Title bar.

This Lab Resource is maintained by the Lab Master, or, by a Lab Member with
a Can Do privilege.

The Can Do Resource value is LAB_RSC_SRCORGANISM.
