Lab Resources Type

  • List of type options for different record type, i.e. R&D, Pipeline, Production, or for Job Requests, software, publication, large scale production, hardware, screening, other, etc.

Fields

  • Type is the Type.

Add New Type

This adds a new row to the Type resource table.

  1. Make the Type window active in the Board.
  2. On the Type menu click Add New Type.

Note

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Remove Rows

This removes the selected rows from the Type resource table.

  1. Make the Type window active in the Board.
  2. Select one or more rows in the table.
  3. On the Type menu click Remove Rows.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Copy Rows

This copies the data in the selected rows of the Type resource table to local clipboard.

  1. Make the Type window active in the Board.
  2. Select one or more rows in the table.
  3. On the Type menu click Copy Rows.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Cut Rows

This removes the selected rows of the Type resource table and copies them to local clipboard.

  1. Make the Type window active in the Board.
  2. Select one or more rows in the table.
  3. On the Type menu click Cut Rows.

Paste Rows

This adds the rows in local clipboard to the Type resource table.

  1. Make the Type window active in the Board.
  2. On the Type menu click Paste Rows.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Undo

This cancels the last change to the Type resource table.

  1. Make the Type window active in the Board.
  2. On the Type menu click Undo.

  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Load Type File

This loads a comma separated value file and adds the data to the Type resource table.

  1. Make the Type window active in the Board.
  2. On the Type menu click Load Type File.
  3. In the folder list, locate and open the folder that contains the file.
  4. Click the file, and then click Open.

Note

  • The CSV file consists of the header row followed by rows that contain comma separated data.
  • To see the exact file format, do a save file for a table with entries.
  • The data in the table will be replaced with the data in the file.
  • The table must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Save Type File

This saves the Type resource table as a comma separated value file.

  1. Make the Type window active in the Board.
  2. On the Type menu click Save Type File.
  3. If you want to save the file in a different folder, locate and open the folder.
  4. In the File Name box, type a name for the file.
  5. Click Save.

Note

  • The CSV file consists of the header row followed by rows that contain comma separated data.

Save Type

This saves the Type in the database.

  1. Make the Type window active in the Board.
  2. On the Type menu click Save Type, or click the Save Type button in the button bar.

Note

  • This will replace the information for the current Type in the database.

Close Type

This closes the window.

  1. Make the Type window active in the Board.
  2. On the Type menu click Close Type, or click the X button on the window's Title bar.

Note

  • If the content of the View has been modified since the last Save operation, the user will be given an option to proceed and discard the changes, or to cancel the operation.

Refresh Type

This reverts the data for the Type to the version in the database.

  1. Make the Type window active in the Board.
  2. On the Type menu click Refresh Type.

Note

  • This will reload the Type from the database.
  • If the content of the View has been modified since the last Save operation, the user will be given an option to proceed and discard the changes, or to cancel the operation.

General Comments

  • To open the Type window in the Board, on the Options menu select Lab Resources then click Type.
  • This Lab Resource is maintained by the Lab Master, or, by a Lab Member with a Can Do privilege.
  • The Can Do Resource value is LAB_RSC_TYPE.
