Selection of Table Rows and Tree Nodes

PC

  • To select a single row or node
    • Click on the row or node.
  • To select adjacent rows or nodes
    • Select the first row or node, then hold down the SHIFT key and select the last row or node.
  • To select nonadjacent rows or nodes
    • Select the first row or node, then hold down the CTRL key and select the other rows or nodes.
  • Custom
    • For some Views, the Edit and Search menus might have menu items for custom selections.

Note

  • For some tables and trees multiselection is disabled.

Mac

  • To select a single row or node
    • Click on the row or node.
  • To select adjacent rows or nodes
    • Select the first row or node, then hold down the SHIFT key and select the last row or node.
  • To select nonadjacent rows or nodes
    • Aqua - the standard Mac look and feel
      • Select the first row or node, then hold down the COMMAND key, also known as APPLE key, and select the other rows or nodes.
    • Metal - the standard Java look and feel
      • Select the first row or node, then hold down the CTRL key and select the other rows or nodes.
  • Custom
    • For some Views, the Edit and Search menus might have menu items for custom selections.
