Creating a Sesame Application Desktop Icon and Menu Item

• This will create a desktop shortcut icon for starting a Sesame Application for those Sesame Applications that have been already started at least once from the Sesame instance's home page.

• Windows XP
• Windows Vista
• OS X
• Linux

Windows XP

1. Click the Start button.
2. Click Control Panel.
3. Click Switch to Classic View.
4. Double click on the Java icon.
5. In General tab, click on the View... button in the Temporary Internet Files section.
6. Right click on the Sesame Application for which you want to create a Desktop Icon in the Java Cache Viewer window.
7. Click Install Shortcuts in the popup menu.

Windows Vista

1. Click the Start button.
2. Click Control Panel.
3. Click Programs.
4. Click Java.
5. In General tab, click on the View... button in the Temporary Internet Files section.
6. Right click on the Sesame Application for which you want to create a Desktop Icon in the Java Cache Viewer window.
7. Click Install Shortcuts in the popup menu.

OS X

1. Spotlight Java Web Start.
2. Click Java Web Start in the Applications or Top Hit section of the resulting list.
3. Click on the Sesame Application for which you want to create a Desktop Icon in the Java Application Cache Viewer window.
4. Click Create Desktop Application in the Application menu.
5. Leave the Save As: field as is.
6. Select in Where: field where to put the Application Icon, preferably Desktop.
7. Click Save.
